About this Retreat

Power, Without Armor is a trauma-informed, deeply relational retreat grounded in Compassionate Inquiry and shaped for people holding real responsibility.

This retreat is a small-group space to slow down, listen differently, and uncover the survival strategies that may once have protected you or made you successful for a while, but now interfere with clarity, authenticity, right use of power, and sustainable leadership.

This is not a performance space, a generic wellness getaway, or a quick inspirational reset. It is a carefully held environment for deep inner work - an opportunity to detox your nervous system, your authentic leadership story, and your self-worth.

What you'll leave with

You will not leave with a version of leadership that asks you to harden more elegantly.

You will leave with greater clarity about what you are no longer willing to carry, a more truthful relationship to your own authority, and practical insight into how your inner architecture shapes the way you lead.

You may also leave with stronger language for your patterns, deeper nervous system awareness, clearer boundaries, and a more grounded sense of how to structure work, responsibility, and power in ways that do not keep costing you your sanity... and aliveness.

Location

Tucked in the lush green of Ubud, Bali, Dragonfly Village feels like it was built for exactly this kind of work.

You might wake to the sound of birds and distant temple bells, walk barefoot across dew‑touched grass, and sit in circle while dragonflies skim the surface of the water nearby. The hot herbal steam sauna, saltwater pool, and fire pit become quiet allies in your process - places to sweat out old stories, float in new spaciousness, and integrate what’s moving through.

Dragonfly Village holds a paradox beautifully: it is both simple and sacred, rustic and refined. It doesn’t distract you with luxury; it invites you into intimacy - with nature, with yourself, and with the parts of you that are ready to come home.

Accommodations

We will stay in century-old antique bungalows, original wooden houses brought over from remote villages in Java, decorated with beautiful carvings, 100% recycled teak wood. All balconies are facing the rice fields, with its own private outdoor garden. Dragonfly Village is all about conscious living – rooms are equipped with ceiling fan, there is no AC in all our bungalows – Ubud is slightly cooler at night.

Each bungalow has an attached mud-wall bathroom, passion fruits & vines climbing over the natural roof, semi-open to the nature. Clean finishing. Hot shower is available. All rooms are supplied with natural organic shampoo, soap and insect repellent. See room samples below.

Why this retreat, why now

Many seasoned leaders have done the mindset work, the professional development, and the ground work that helped them get this far. But when the deeper structure underneath leadership is still organized around bracing, people-pleasing, over-giving, perfectionism, or control, success can start to feel expensive.

This retreat is designed for that edge - where the old way of carrying responsibility no longer fits. It is for people who can feel that the next level of their work will require a deeper level of their own healing, embodiment, and internal congruence. I call it Somatic Integrity.

What makes it different

This is the first live iteration of a body of work I’ve been refining with professionals and change‑makers over many years. You’re stepping into the first edition of a container that will continue to evolve, deepen, and travel.

Because this is a first edition, the investment is set intentionally lower than where this retreat will land in future years. As a first edition participant, you’ll receive the full experience - the retreat itself, the structure, the practice, the pre‑work, and integration - plus a new community with continued support. Your questions, edges, and insights will help refine how this work is held, and how it can best serve other leaders and communities over time.

My commitment is to hold you with the same rigor, warmth, compassion, and trauma‑informed care I bring to all of my work, while also honoring that you are helping to midwife something new into the world.

Transportation

Bali Airport Pickup to retreat drop-off point - Dragonfly Village is not accessible by car the last 700m.

Luggage motorbike transfer during check in and check out from & to taxi drop off point (pack light so you can enjoy your experience). It will be fun!

Bungalow Style Rooms

Single Room and Shared Room occupancy with daily housekeeping (natural soap, shampoo, insect repellent, drinking water refill set up in each bungalow).

Meals

3 buffet style vegetarian or vegan meals/day in a combination of Balinese cooking and fusion.

~ Typical breakfast menu:

daily mix fruits salad plus a main option of rice flour pancake / oats porridge / brown rice savory porridge / omelette / scrambled tofu, and many more. Dragonfly Village has an organic garden and they bake their own 100% gluten free bread. How fabulous is that :)

~ Typical lunch / dinner menu:

big green salad with different dressings / soups (vegetable, lentils, pumpkin, raw thai coconut, gazpacho) / Balinese nasi campur / curry mix vegetable / mung bean curry / grilled veggies hummus wrap / tempe steak with spinach / mixed dish served in dragonfly bowl and many more...daily dessert.

Note: smoothies / fruit juices are not included but can be ordered at extra.
